The Best Care for Your Eyes.
Causes and Consequences. Clearly Explained.
Three excellent options. One that’s perfect for you.
Versatile. Precise. Safe.
Using a laser, sharpness of vision is enhanced
in
both eyes. Additionally,
a different focal strength is
applied to each eye—one eye sees better up close,
while the
other
focuses better on distant objects.
Together, both eyes create sharp vision at all
distances
without
the need for glasses.
Outstanding Optical Quality
Through lens exchange, sharp vision is restored
in
both eyes.
Additionally, each eye is adjusted to a
different focal point—one for near vision and one
for
distance vision. Together, both eyes create clear
vision at all distances. Most patients no
longer
need
reading glasses.
For Everything. Even the Smallest Print.
Through lens exchange, trifocal lenses
are
implanted, allowing patients to
see objects clearly
at all distances—far (e.g., TV), intermediate (e.g.,
monitor), and near
(e.g.,
books). This results in
complete freedom from glasses.

For individuals aged 45-65, refractive lens exchange (RLE) and certain laser procedures like LASIK
and PRK are proven options. The best procedure for you depends on your prescription, lens health,
and personal preferences. A comprehensive pre-examination helps us determine the most suitable
method for your eyes.
The results are typically permanent. Since vision can change with age, refractive lens exchange is
particularly suitable, as it provides stable and long-term results—but the best approach is always
determined on a case-by-case basis.
The procedures are minimally painful and performed under local anesthesia. Some treatments, such
as PRK, require a longer healing period and may cause a temporary foreign body sensation, while
RLE and LASIK generally allow for a quick recovery.
Recovery time varies by procedure. After lens exchange or LASIK, most patients can return to
normal activities within a few days. PRK requires a longer healing period, and high-intensity
sports should generally be avoided for about two weeks.
If your vision changes over time, adjustments can usually be made. Refractive lens exchange is
highly stable, minimizing the likelihood of needing a future correction.
As with any procedure, there are some risks, but they are minimal. Dry eyes, glare effects, or
halos are the most common side effects and usually resolve within a few weeks.
Yes, refractive lens exchange is an excellent option for presbyopia and high prescriptions,
especially when laser procedures may not be suitable.
Public health insurance typically does not cover refractive procedures. However, private insurance
providers may cover part of the costs—we are happy to provide individual consultation on this.
